This photograph has been hand signed by the Pilot The autograph Is actual, real, not scan reprint or forgery and was obtained by me. I have scanned the data page from our book so that you can see the missions flown and history of the plane. They then flew the second Atomic Mission as the "standby" or backup plane stationed on Iwo Jima the day of the mission. A weather plane was over each city reporting the weather to the Enola Gay, but Hiroshima was the primary target. Three cities were chosen as targets, Hiroshima, Kokura, and Nagasaki. This photograph was printed from an original negative As a collector of 509th Composite Group photographs and historian, I can tell you t he Importance of this plane and crew was that they participated In the Hiroshima Mission as the advance weather B29, flying an hour ahead of the Enola Gay to report the weather over the city of Nagasaki.
